What is Platinum?
Platinum (Pt, atomic number 78) is a silvery-white Platinum Group Metal (PGM) with exceptional resistance to corrosion, oxidation, and chemical attack.

Recovery Process
Recovery begins with precise sampling and X-ray fluorescence assay of incoming spent catalysts and scrap. Platinum-bearing feed is homogenized, then processed through a smelting collection step that concentrates PGMs into a metallic phase, separating them from ceramic and refractory carriers.
Extraction Process
Concentrated platinum is dissolved in aqua regia, taking the metal into solution as chloroplatinic acid. Base metals and unwanted elements are removed through controlled chemistry so that only the target PGM fraction advances to refining.
Recycling Process
Viyanmani's closed-loop recycling route returns platinum from autocatalysts, process catalysts, and electronic scrap back into industrial-grade sponge and salts — displacing freshly mined metal and dramatically lowering the embodied carbon of every gram recovered.
Purification
Selective precipitation and solvent extraction isolate platinum from palladium, rhodium, and other PGMs. The purified platinum salt is calcined and reduced to sponge, then verified by ICP-OES to guarantee 99.95%+ purity.
